Life at bettys

Betty is the lady in the center. What a good potluck supper we had. BBQ chicken, marinated pork complete with many side dishes and dessert. Our motorhome is the one under the Oak Tree.
The final photo is a sunset over Poche's fish camp one one of their ponds. This is looking right out of our MH door. Looks like blogger will allow me to send 4 photos with each post.

I forgot to tell you while in Breaux Bridge we took a half day to tour the town of Crowley... Crowley is the rice growing center in La. Ford Motor Company built a Ford Dealership building here in the early 1900s to assemble & sell their Model Ts here. The building was called
Crowley Motors. Later the building was acquired by L. D. Miller
the recording & song writer who recorded various singers in Crowley for a number of years. The building has now become City Hall of Crowley. What friendly staff. We were the only vistors there this morning. In the lobby & up stairs they have the Model T history complete with two Model Ts. They also have the history of rice & crawfish farming. Two different ladies went out of there way to show us the restored building that the city is very proud of.

Another stop in Crowley was a stop at the Land Bank office right accross from City Hall. Had a word with the branch manager. Asked if they got along with the PCA staff.
His reply was. Yes the staff does but the two association directors don't see eye to eye...sounded familiar. He said they would be going head to head making operating loans from the LB.
