Well we left the rally in Casa Grande around 9:30 AM bound for Sagaro National Park directed by our Garman GPS. We arrived at the park in good order. At the vistor center while checking in we had a small world experience happen. We met our good friends from Santa Fe, New Mexic0: Darla & George Cox that were on trip to India in 2006. Had a nice visit with them. Whow what views from the vistor center of the Sargaro Cactus on the mountain sides. Sargaros live to be well over 200 years of age & don't start growing arms until at least 50 years of age. Bats play and important role in their reproductive process. Well worth your time to visit this park.
We left the park at noon & 0ur Garman seemed confused. No this couldn't happen. So we followed her down the highway thinking we were only 5 miles away from Desert Trails RV park where we elected to stay while in Tucson. Turning a 65 foot rig around on a two lane road is no fund. Well in another hour we arrived at the RV Park. Only to learn we were 1 week ahead of our reservation with no hookups available...so we took a dry camp site. It all worked out on Friday the 13th.
Saturday morning we on our way to Biosphere 2 about 50 miles NE of Tucson on the way to Globe, AZ. Biosphere was constructed by a MR. Bass from Texas to find out of humans could survice in there own little earth. So they locked in the sphere 8 people to live there for two years. They surviced on the food they produced. There was no communication from the outside world. Another thing there was no paper there including toilet paper. This occurred in 1991-92.They have never got back together again for a reuion...I wondered why?
